“ANU Rocketry has been something that truly has transformed me as an engineer. It has taught me so much about application of engineering discipline, how to work as a team member and how to lead. Being apart of this team has made me not only a better at engineering and leading, but also as a person.”

Our propulsion team design, develop, manufactures, and test custom rocket motors. We are currently developing liquid rocket engine motors for the prospects of the Rocketry Team, such as Spaceport submissions and a Space Rocket Launch. The team is currently working towards fully testing out inhouse built liquid rocket engine test stand system.

The goal for this team is to create the first student made liquid rocket engine in Australia and move to launching them in rocket from Spaceport submissions to Space Rocket Launches.

Over the last year the team has worked to complete the required testing for our liquid rocket engine test stand. This included a Cold and Cryogenic flow test that verified the physical capabilities of the test stand for both pressure and temperature ranges. Over the last few months and the ones to come, the team is working on a low power liquid engine to attempt a hot fire.

The team is aiming to construct a liquid rocket engine test platform, to test engine motors and booster sections for future competition and for a future space launch. This involves the design, development, manufacturing, testing, and operating student level liquid rocket engines.
